Hi Friends & Family

 

Over the past 5 months the RCH has been our second home and it is my turn to show our gratitdue by raising money for the hospital. I have signed up to complete the 16km Run for the Kids on the 20th March, which in conjunction with the Good Friday Appeal, is the major fundraiser for the hospital.  

 

We have been overwhelmed by the level of care that we have received as both an inpatient and an outpatient at the RCH.  From the wonderful Doctors, Nurses and the 'Hospital in the Home' service, to the world class medicine and equipment that is available to treat our most treasured possession.  Whilst the medical team focus on treating the illness, the RCH model ensures that the emotional well being of the children is a focus and we are so thankful to the specialist staff who distract our little ones including the play therapists, art therapists, social workers & teachers, not to mention the countless volunteers.  

 

Thank you RCH - you have made what has been a challenging journey into a very positive one :)
